My name is Brad Jenkins I am 22 years of age and I am
writing to tell you about my experience using your race rails and
lend you my appreciation for developing such a great product
I ride in both WERA and CCS on a 2005 Suzuki GSX-R 600 competing in
most super sport and super stock classes and strongly value great
protection. I have used a few different types of crash protection
since I started racing including standard frame sliders and also
billet case covers, which I still use now. I have found that the
race rails do a better job of keeping the majority of my bike off
the ground in a situation where the front tire looses grip and a low
side occurs.
On June 24-25 of this year I was competing in the CCS Festival of
Speed at V.I.R. I had just successfully finished my first race of
the day 3rd (25 minute GT) and wanted very much to get a good result
from my second scheduled race of the day a super sport 7 lap sprint
race. After starting near the back of the field (pre-entry is very
important) I managed to move up to the top ten by the 4th lap and
was sitting behind 2 riders that I was poised to make a move on when
my front tire had a failure. My bike and I hit the ground at about
75 mph. I tumbled and slid to a stop on the road while my bike did
much the same only sliding more than tumbling.
The race-rails worked great limiting the damage and saving the very
expensive bodywork that is needed for racing. I would definitely
recommend this product to any serious racer who knows the importance
of crash-protection.
